Auburn basketball took another beating against premier competition Saturday, losing at No. 3 Arizona in blowout fashion.

The Blue Devils have led the whole contest and are leading 16-11 at the 11:32 mark of the first half. Duke is off to a 46% start from the field and Michigan State 36%. Nik Khamenia is leading Duke with six points going 2-for-3 from 3 and Coen Carr leading Michigan State with 5.

Freeland pulled away in the second half Saturday to claim the Sean Pollion Boys Basketball Invitational championship at Petoskey. The Falcons knocked off Menominee on Friday and followed with a 69-54 victory over Petoskey in the title game to improve to 3-0.

Frankenmuth dominated John Glenn, taking a 39-8 halftime lead on its way to the Tri-Valley Conference Red win. Caden Sommerfield scored 14 points, with Cash Tedford, Lleyton Hoard and Matthew Schoenow adding 10 points each for 2-0 Frankenmuth. Dylan Wood scored 10 points for the Bobcats.

The Huskies turned it up in the second half to defeat the visiting Lions and move to 8-1 on the season.
