Chris DeMarco is excited to get started as coach of the New York Liberty, but will remain a Golden State Warriors assistant until Jan. 1.

Golden State is waiving rookie forward Alex Toohey, the team announced Monday afternoon. League sources had previously confirmed the move to the Bay Area News Group.
