Overnight Chicago-area snowfall created hazardous road conditions and caused delays at Chicago O'Hare International Airport on Sunday.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory from midnight to 9 a.m. Sunday as the area could see between 3 to 5 inches of snow.

Chicago weather: Freezing rain could make for messy roads
With temperatures rising above freezing today and this evening, most of the precipitation will fall as rain, but there is concern in the north-northwest suburbs for freezing rain and a glaze of ice where it'll take longer for ground temperatures to warm above freezing.
The multiple chances for snow throughout the week and weekend could lead to as much as five inches of snow by Sunday, forecast models showed.
Plows are out in Chicago as snow blankets the city, with the first round of fast-moving clippers bringing up to 6 inches of snow, slick roads and delays and cancellations at O'Hare International Airport.

Chicago weather: Wintry mess arrives ahead of plunging temps
Tomorrow will be in the mid 30s with rain transitioning to snow. The snow will end for most by early afternoon, with the exception of northwest Indiana where the snow may linger. Much colder air plows in behind the cold front Wednesday morning. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid 20s with partly sunny skies and afternoon snow possible.
Recent record snow and icy weather have been kept body shops busy in the Chicago area, and tariffs imposed by the Trump administration have made parts pricier.
